Since the coach left this morning, about 20 or so leaders have been at the station getting the boats ready for their journey home and putting the Sation "to bed" for the winter. It's been very quiet 100 or so people down.
We've been hoovering, mopping, polishing and shining. Many thanks to the residents of Stob Binnien for leaving sticky tape all over the windows. It was a joy to remove!
The Station will now be used at weekends by local groups until Hertfordshire Scouts return at Christmas/New Year for the Advanced Mountaineering Course and Easter for the Initial Mountaineering Course. Details of these will be given out for all the new "Mountain People" that we've created at the reunion. (They know who they are.)
Anyway - the coach is this moment pulling out of the M6TOLL services - still on schedule for a 19.00 arrival.
