Olympic Handover Day

As we had mentioned before, we were one of 400 locations across the UK entrusted with the raising of the Olympic flag to celebrate GB becoming host nation.

We had our own ceremony here on the station to match anything in Bejing with our own young people taking part.

And of course the raising of the flag itself, alongside the Union Flag and the Scout Emblem.




We followed the ceremony with our own Olympic/Highland Games, a Chino-Brit meal and finally a party which is still going on outside now. Not sure what the neighbours think!
